What type of plan do you recommend for someone going onto Medicare for the first time?
At Carolina Advantage, we will suggest the best plan for your specific situation. The plan your neighbor or family members picks for themselves, may not be the best for you. We will review your doctors and prescriptions to decide which company/plan is right for you.
Do I have to pay a fee to use your services?
We do not charge a fee for our services. We get compensated by the insurance company that fits your needs the best.
Do you offer any webinars or seminars for Medicare 101?
Yes, we run weekly webinars online, and quarterly Seminars for Medicare educational events. Click on the “New to Medicare” tab on the top of our site to find out how to attend these educational events!
Medicare Supplement vs Medicare Advantage?
-Medicare Supplement plans are a great way to cover almost all of your out of pocket costs at the hospital and doctor. They come with a higher premium, and you have to purchase a seperate prescription (Part D) plan, and Dental/Vision to be fully covered.
-Medicare Advantage plans usually include prescriptions and dental/vision, but you must stay with the plans networks and doctors. Many Medicare Advantage plans have a $0 premium, while some offer more benefits for an added monthly cost.
